Over a century of history

We are an institution with more than 100 years of history. Since our founding in 1916, we have managed the Free Zone Industrial Park and its customs zone, while also promoting numerous projects in other areas of the city and metropolitan region – always linked to high-value-added activities with a strong innovation component. A city district is a place where things happen, intrinsically linked to the city’s overall pulse – and in Barcelona’s case, to the metropolitan area and far beyond. That is why we have set out to transform this industrial park into District 4.0.

That is why, at the Consortium, we are committed to – and pioneers in – new technologies such as 3D printing, and we open doors for the growth of Industry 4.0 through the DFactory building.
