2025 milestones: The CZFB innovation and economic revitalisation
In 2025, the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) launched its 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, centred on three cornerstones: the economic and social development of the region, the urban integration of District 4.0, and its ESG strategy focused on governance, sustainability, and equality criteria. This century-old entity, funded through its own resources and the management of its assets, is one of the leading drivers of innovation and economic revitalisation in the Catalan economy. Its contribution to the country’s economic and social development rests on cornerstones such as the urban integration of District 4.0 and the fulfilment of sustainability goals set by the United Nations and the European Union.

DFactory Barcelona begins essential expansion
DFactory Barcelona, the heart of District 4.0, is moving forward with its expansion project. This will allow it to grow from its current 17,000 m² to the planned 60,000 m² by the end of 2026.

The meeting point for the logistics sector
SIL Barcelona once again closed an edition that firmly established it as one of the world’s leading trade fairs for Logistics, Transportation, Intralogistics, and Supply Chain, and the top reference point in Spain, the Mediterranean, and the Atlantic region. With 15,134 visitors and 650 participating companies, the internationalisation rate reached 30%.
