In 2025, the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) launched its 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, centred on three cornerstones: the economic and social development of the region, the urban integration of District 4.0, and its ESG strategy focused on governance, sustainability, and equality criteria. This century-old entity, funded through its own resources and the management of its assets, is one of the leading drivers of innovation and economic revitalisation in the Catalan economy. Its contribution to the country’s economic and social development rests on cornerstones such as the urban integration of District 4.0 and the fulfilment of sustainability goals set by the United Nations and the European Union.
