The conversion of an industrial area into a neighbourhood, Marina del Prat Vermell, is progressing. In this new neighbourhood, actions are planned to improve connectivity with other neighbourhoods in the Sants-Montjuïc district, the Free Zone, and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. Various public housing developments are under construction, along with a large green lung – the Parque de las Tretze Roses – and new facilities. Among these is the new Green Point in la Marina, to be located on Calle Motors. The project includes a main building for control and administration offices, with changing rooms, toilets, and an environmental classroom. There will also be an outdoor area for waste recovery and storage, divided into sections for hazardous waste, WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment), non-hazardous waste, small containers, and a capsule coffee zone. The site will include parking for 14 mobile green points.
